Keris Lové
Songwriter and National Artivist
Keris Lové, a multi-talented artist, writer, producer, and policy advocate from New York City. A graduate from SUNY at Buffalo State where Keris obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.
As a songwriter, Keris tells stories that create awareness and bridge issues into solutions through melodic harmonies. As an art curator and producer, Keris empathizes with communities and provides holistic productions that connect people and social issues. Keris is also an accomplished grammy nominated writer, crafting narratives from the perspective of a Black woman and convening communities to not lose history.
As a policy analyst and advocate, Keris career started within the NYC child welfare system as a supervisor of a hard to place group home. While in leadership keris implemented structural changes that promoted reunification of families. Keris is a trusted trustee and advisor to many elected officials, researching root causes and providing actionable tools for sustainable change.
As a motivational speaker, Keris educates and inspires, providing processes and implementing impact to build movements and influence narratives through her experiences.
In 2019 Keris led the Bronx to historic housing legislation as well as organizing to change campaign finance reform and bail reforms laws in New York State. During this time Keris curated her first art & activism gallery exhibit in SoHo.
In 2020 Keris Co founded NNLB, a collective of intergenerational, multidisciplinary, intersectional Black marginalized genders who are dedicated to Black Liberation, Direct Reparations, Abolition and the Decriminalization Of Poverty.
Keris has been featured in Vogue magazine, Elle Magazine and Voyage Magazine. A grammy nominated songwriter, recipient of four New York State proclamations and Women of Excellence awarded by Al Sharpton & The National Action Network. Keris is also the singer and songwriter of “ I believe” a song for the movement featuring Harry Belafonte, other National Activistand inspired by her Femtor Carmen Perez-Jordan. Keris is the Granddaughter of Jim Crow survivors, freedom fighters and has committed herself to moving the baton towards liberation for Black people globally.
